Rubber & Plastic

Lubrication Engineers products are preferred because of the combination of high pressures and temperatures prevalent in the operation of many plastic- and rubber-producing machines. For example, a modern plastic extrusion machine puts great stress on its components because it is operating continuously at a high speed using a combination of high resin temperatures, plus very high product and hydraulic pressures. These conditions demand maximum lubricant performance.

LE has products for all of the following applications:

  • Screw thrust & gear train
  • Motor bearings on electric motors
  • Extruders
  • Blow moulding
  • Calendering
  • Gearbox electric motor
  • Electric motors
  • Banbury mixer
  • Open roll mills
  • Tubing machines
  • Moulding

LE’s proprietary lubricants prevent wear by providing thermal stability and viscosity consistency, and our hydraulic oils offer exceptional oxidation resistance. LE lubricants can protect tubing machines and extruders from failure. Our high-performance greases protect electric motors, while our EP gear oils protect calendar gearboxes. In addition, we can provide desiccant breathers to keep moisture out of reservoirs.

Using the right lubricant also can help lower energy use. LE lubricants reduce friction, which means less electricity is required to drive a gearbox, compressor or pump.
